Position Summary
Operate as a driver under our authority, with full control over freight selection and home time.
Key Responsibilities
- Load Selection & Dispatch: Access our 24/7 load board to choose freight—no forced dispatch.
- Route Planning & Log‑Keeping: Plan safe, efficient routes and maintain compliant electronic logs with an FMCSA‑approved ELD.
- Equipment Upkeep & Compliance: Ensure tractor and trailer pass a DOT Level 1 inspection every 120 days. Receive $450 for successful inspection
- Customer Service & Safety: Deliver freight on time, uphold our safety standards, and represent our company professionally.
Minimum Qualifications
- Age & Licensing: ≥ 23 years old; valid CDL Class A
- Endorsements: Hazmat endorsement (FAST card for Canadian cross‑border a plus).
- Experience:
- 1 year OTR driving within the last 3 years or
- 2 years driving experience in the last 5 years with similar equipment.
- Safety Record:
- No DOT‑recordable/preventable accidents in past 12 months
- ≤ 1 serious violation in past 36 months
- No DUI in past 60 months
- Background & Drug Screen:
- No felony convictions in past 7 years (other charges reviewed case‑by‑case)
- Clear drug and alcohol screening
- Medical & Documentation:
- Language: Proficient in English for traffic signs, logs, and communication.
Equipment
- Tractor: Sleeper‑berth capable; compatible with an FMCSA‑approved ELD.
- Trailer: Van, flatbed, step‑deck, heavy‑spec, or refrigerated—each subject to DOT Level 1 inspection.
- California Drivers: Equipment must meet CARB compliance.
