Sustainability is often treated like marketing. We want it to be measurable action.

That’s why we’re proud to share a milestone in our sustainability journey: Quantum Road has offset 100% of our administrative and terminal carbon footprint.

This does not mean the entire freight industry is suddenly “zero emission.” It means we’re taking responsibility for the emissions we directly control in our offices and terminal operations - and we’re building a foundation for bigger operational improvements over time.

What we mean by “administrative and terminal footprint” This includes emissions associated with: - office operations (energy use, utilities) - terminal operations (facility energy, support equipment where applicable) - business travel and administrative activity in our control

Freight emissions are complex and involve multiple parties. We started with the areas we can measure and influence directly.

Why this matters (even if it’s not the full story) Some people dismiss offsets. We understand the skepticism. Offsets are not a substitute for real operational efficiency.

But we believe offsets can be: - a starting point for accountability - a way to fund projects that reduce emissions elsewhere - a signal that sustainability is part of how we operate, not just what we say

The goal is progress with transparency.

The bigger roadmap: efficiency and smarter operations Offsets are one piece. The larger effort includes: - reducing empty miles through better network planning - supporting more efficient equipment and operations - exploring lower-emission solutions where they make operational sense - improving visibility so freight moves with fewer wasted miles

In logistics, efficiency and sustainability often align. Waste burns fuel. Better planning reduces both cost and emissions.

How customers and carriers fit into the picture We see sustainability as a shared effort: - shippers can improve appointment discipline and reduce dwell (less idling) - carriers can adopt fuel-saving practices and maintenance discipline - networks can reduce deadhead through smarter matching

Everyone benefits when operations become cleaner and more efficient.

Closing thought We’re proud of this milestone because it reflects a commitment: measure what we can, improve what we control, and keep moving toward a freight network that wastes less.

If you’re a shipper or carrier partner who cares about sustainability in a practical, operational way, we’d love to talk. We believe the best sustainability strategy in freight is the same as the best business strategy: run smarter, waste less, and build systems that create long-term value.
